Surface DesignMy Urban Slant and Metro Bias wraps demonstrate my commitment to functional design which, at its core, is simple yet unique, wearable and comfortable. The knitting lexicon of stitch work offers almost endless variations of texture, form and color. Recently, however, I have become intrigued with surface design. The knitted material becomes a platform on which to add embroidery, beads, leather, and even paint, becoming a true mixed media art form. My current offering of sweaters is my first foray into combining surface design with wearable garments. I hope you enjoy them.
